MONDAY NIGHT FOR THE MASTER
Monday Night for the Master is a ministry designed to reach our community and to serve Jesus. We meet every Monday night during the school year in our Family Center at 5:45 for a free meal followed by service projects from 6:30 to 7:30.
This is a program of unlimited opportunities and potential to do good for anyone in the church or the community. The program encourages all people to be involved in serving others and growing spiritually by providing a wide range of service opportunities regardless of individual abilities – working alongside other Christians in service to Jesus Christ.
MNFTM is a convenient way for West Side members and guests – anyone of any age – willing to spend a couple hours on a Monday evening doing what the Lord commands that we do. In Matthew 25, Jesus himself describes precisely what people who follow him should be doing: feeding the hungry, taking care of those who are sick, in prison or needing clothing. Jesus says in Mathew 25:40: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

We have a list of ministries that have become popular and ongoing, but there is no limit to new ministries. Here’s a partial list of activities:
And yet, this is only a partial list. Any opportunity or service is limited only by your imagination. We have people ready to help you start a new outreach. Come and let us know your idea for an outreach not listed here.
For example, one new creative idea came from a desire to help orphans and women in Guatemala earn needed income. So volunteers are cutting old T-shirts into long strips, which is then stretched to create “T-shirt yarn,” which can then be used by Guatemalans to weave rugs that they can sell to support themselves.
Anyone is welcome to come and help in any capacity. We have a number of dedicated volunteers who prepare food beginning in the afternoons. We have child care service available for children up to the third grade. Children above that age can participate in the activities. We even provide a supervised homework table for older students who have work to complete.
Not only are we working to serve others through Christ, but MNFTM provides a tremendous opportunity for fellowship as Christians encourage and work alongside each other in a fulfilling activity. It is a great place for new members or visitors to join in and get to know others.
